Due to nature of wood product, grains and exact color is not guaranteed. Each cut of wood is unique and some may have natural grooves, cuts, knots, darker, and lighter spot. Further end grains in general will produce a darker finish than the surface grain.
Unless specificed otherwise, wood tabletops are joined together to for a solid large piece. (finger joints or side joints)
